Tucked away in the heart of Newcastle, this hidden gem boasts stunning art deco architecture. Originally built as a school, the John Marley Centre now houses Breeze Creatives, a contemporary visual arts organisation based in the North East providing studio and office space for artists and creative organisations. And now, the John Marley Centre it’s poised to become the epicentre of a groundbreaking new venture led by Ngage NE Ltd – Neuroversal Studios.






Rachel Spencer, the founder of Ngage NE Ltd, effuses enthusiasm for this monumental move, stating, “Our journey in building this fantastic neurodiverse studio space at the John Marley Centre marks an incredible milestone in our commitment to support neurodiverse individuals in the world of art and content creation. We’re thrilled to be part of the vibrant creative community at Breeze Creatives and the John Marley Centre.”

Mark Butcher, who brings his TV industry experience to Ngage NE Ltd, adds, “The John Marley Centre provides an ideal studio space for us to create, thrive and collaborate. With Ngage and Neuroversal Studios, we’re not only creating an accessible film studio but a hub for neurodiverse talent to shine and produce outstanding creative work.”

Vicky expresses her fondness for the new space, saying, “The vibrant green decor is perfect because it matches our green screen and the Ngage logo – it’s a colorful celebration of what we do.”

• Welcome Party: The festivities kick off early with a vibrant welcome party on Thursday, October 19, 2023, from 1 pm to 3 pm. Join us in celebrating the grand opening of the new Ngage office and Neuroversal Studio space at the John Marley Centre. It’s a chance to mingle, network, and share in the excitement as we embark on this incredible journey together.

• Photography Workshops and Walkabouts: Ngage and Adam from Visual Voice will host engaging photography workshops and walkabouts with neurodiverse artists. These monthly sessions will provide a platform for budding photographers to explore their creativity and express themselves through the lens.








• Wey Aye Lego Man Photography Exhibition: Get ready for an awe-inspiring celebration of neurodiverse artists, Lego and the North East! On Friday, April 26, 2024, from 5 pm to 7 pm, the John Marley Centre will host the “Wey Aye Lego Man” 2024 photography exhibition. This event will showcase captivating Lego minifigure-themed photography by neurodiverse photographers. It’s a unique opportunity to explore Lego and the local region’s beauty through the eyes of neurodiverse artists.
The Wey Aye Lego Man 2023 exhibition contributed £750 to the local charity Cancer Connections through the sale of all the photographs featured in the exhibition.



• Collaborative Video Productions: Neurodiverse content creators will come together to produce groundbreaking video content for creatives, businesses and projects based at the John Marley Centre and beyond. These collaborations will not only showcase the unique talents of neurodiverse individuals but also foster a sense of community and support with other content creators.
Julie adds, “I love directing because I enjoy organising people. Saying ‘lights, camera, action,’ and then ‘cut’ when we stop shooting is where the magic happens for me.”
