Championing Neurodiverse Talent and Collaborative Creativity

The Wey Aye LEGO Man exhibition has long been a platform for neurodiverse artists, celebrating their unique perspectives and incredible talent. This year, the exhibition takes things a step further, teaming up with UK-based artists who will reimagine LEGO in spectacular, unexpected ways.

These new collaborative pieces, ranging from whimsical to avant-garde, will stand alongside the Lego-themed photography, creating a truly immersive and multi-disciplinary artistic experience.

Calling All Artists to Customise A Lego Statue

One artist shared their excitement about the collaboration: “This is the perfect opportunity to showcase not only our love for LEGO but also how different artistic voices can come together to create something extraordinary. It’s a celebration of individuality and community.”

With support from Ngage NE Ltd, New Beginnings NE Ltd, Visual Voice, and One Strawberry Lane, this exhibition continues to break down barriers and empower neurodiverse artists to shine on a wider stage.

We All Love LEGO

Lego, a cherished staple of many childhoods, is beautifully reimagined in this project. More than just a toy, Lego represents a shared memory and a universal emblem of creativity that resonates with everyone. In ‘Wey Aye Lego Man’, these familiar Lego mini-figures are transformed into a powerful means of expression, transcending the limitations of language.

The true beauty of these Lego portraits lies in their ability to provide a window into the world as perceived by the artists, challenging us to expand our viewpoints and deepen our connection with those who experience life differently. This initiative not only rekindles our collective nostalgia for Lego but also showcases how these childhood treasures can become impactful instruments of storytelling and connection today.
